Young Trees is an indie rock/pop music project created by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Shauna Sweeney. After performing thousands of shows across the Eastern U.S., Canada and the Bahamas, opening for major bands and releasing two EPs as a solo artist, Sweeney wrote and co-produced the four songs that would become Young Trees’ debut EP, Supposed To Be (release set for Aug 23, 2017).  The songs on this collection were recorded through the collaborative efforts of Sweeney and several fellow musicians: guitarist Ryan Haire, bassist Chris Bonelli, and drummers Dominic Ditmyer and Joseph Salamida. With percussive rhythms, masterful guitars and earnest, powerful vocals, these songs are a journey through themes of passion, memory, soul-searching and adventure.
